About our Club Our club was founded & incorporated in 1965 and still includes some of its founding members. The club objectives are; to encourage and promote the breeding of pure-bred German Shorthaired Pointers, to do all possible things to bring their natural qualities to perfection and to do all in its power to protect and advance the interest of the breed by encouraging sportsmanlike competition at dog shows, field trials and hunt tests. The GSPCSD is a member of the GSPCA (Parent Club). and puts on AKC Licensed Field Trials, Specialty Shows, and Hunt Tests each year, as well as hosting national events; 1997 GSPCA National Specialty Show, supported the 2003 National Specialty Show and the 1973 Amateur Nationals. Social events include Fundays (held in February or March) and a Christmas Party. General meetings are held the second Tuesday of every month (See newsletter for times and dates). Guests are always welcome!!
